West Prince Curling Club at Mill River Coles Cash Spiel Rules

Eligibility & Team Composition

·        All teams must be mixed, consisting of a minimum of two players of opposite genders

·        The skip and the mate (vice-skip) must be of opposite genders

·        All team members names must be submitted as part of the registration process.  If alternates are required, they must fall into the rules set out for Eligibility & Team Compostion as set out above

·        Maximum of 12 team entries to move forward

·        Stick curlers are not permitted

·        Deadline to register is December 1 at 4:00 pm AST.

Game Format & Rules

·        All games played will be 8 ends

·        The 5-rock free guard rule will be in effect

·        The no-tick rule will be enforced

·        Games will follow Curling Canada’s official rules unless otherwise specified

·        Teams must be ready to play at their scheduled game times; failure to do so may result in a forfeiture

·        Games will be timed using one clock across all sheets and expected to be completed within atwo-hour time limit

·        There will be not be a practice time, unless ice is rented ahead of the bonspiel date

·        A draw closest to the button will determine the start

·        There will be 3 points given for a win and .25 point for point spread (maximum 3 points).

Registration & Entry Fee

·        The entry fee is $300 per team

·        Registration is confirmed upon receipt of payment and submission of the full team roster

·        No refunds will be issued after registration unless the bonspiel is not held

·        Payments can be made in person at the club or by etransfer to wpccregistrations@outlook.com

Prizes:

·        First Place: $2000

·        Second Place: $1000

·        Third Place: $500

·        Consolation – (4) $50 gift cards
