Service Description

Opportunity for non members to come out and try curling. Just bring a clean pair of indoor sneakers. This time is also open to members.

Policy

(Applies to All Users, Including Members, Rentals, and Guests) The West Prince Curling Club is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all individuals using our curling ice. Safety is everyone’s responsibility. By entering the ice area, all participants, spectators, and guests agree to follow this policy. 1. General Conduct • All users must conduct themselves in a safe, respectful, and sportsmanlike manner at all times. • Absolutely no running, horseplay, or unsafe behavior is permitted on or around the ice surface. • Users must follow the instructions of club staff, ice technicians, or event organizers at all times. • Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted on the ice. 2. Footwear and Attire • Only clean curling shoes or grippers are allowed on the ice. Street shoes or dirty footwear are strictly prohibited. • Helmets are strongly recommended, especially for youth, beginners, and anyone with mobility or balance concerns. • Wear warm, flexible clothing that allows movement but avoids loose items that may cause tripping. 3. Equipment Safety • Inspect your equipment before play. Damaged brooms, sliders, or grippers should not be used. • Keep stones and equipment under control — do not slide rocks recklessly or leave them unattended on the ice. • Never place hands, knees, or other body parts in front of a moving rock. 4. On-Ice Awareness • Be aware of others at all times. Look before stepping onto the ice or delivering a stone. • Use the hacks, boards, or stabilizers for balance when entering or exiting the playing area. • If you fall, take a moment before standing to ensure you are not injured. Report any injuries or unsafe conditions immediately. 5. Ice and Facility Care • Food and drinks are not permitted on the ice. • Report any spills, debris, or damage to the ice surface immediately to staff. • Users are responsible for keeping the facility clean and returning equipment to its proper place. 6. Liability and Acknowledgement • All participants use the ice at their own risk. The West Prince Curling Club is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or loss of personal property. • Ice renters must ensure all participants are aware of and agree to follow this policy. • Violation of this policy may result in removal from the ice or loss of rental privileges. By using the ice, all participants acknowledge that curling involves inherent risks and agree to take personal responsibility for their safety and the safety
